Height, weight, reach; these are the measurements that you use to measure a boxer and what division he should be in. What those measurements never show is heart and will. These are traits that only time and adversity can reveal. For Tulsa, Oklahoma born middleweight hopeful, DonYil Livingston, displaying heart and will have gotten him through one of the toughest stretches of his life. A standout amateur who boasts National Silver Gloves titles in 1996, 1998 and 2000, Jr. Golden Gloves titles from 1995 to 2000, and National and International Blue and Gold Championships from 1997 to 2000 among many other amateur awards, has not had the seemingly easy road he had as an amateur as a professional fighter.

While many from his amateur class like Andre Berto and Andre Ward have gone on to fame and world titles, Livingston has sat on the sidelines, waiting and working for just a chance to show who he in the ring. A veteran of 200 amateur fights, Livingston hit a roadblock in the 2004 Olympic trials, losing a disputed decision that took from him both a shot at the Olympics and the passion for the sport he had competed in all his life.

He would leave the sport for 6 years, working a nine to five job and watching his peers move on to the world stage. A young man of just 26, Livingston knew had to return to the sport and find out if he had what it takes for himself. In May of 2010, with no promoter or manager of note backing him, Livingston, who drives 2 hours one way every day to train at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, California, turned pro against Lamar Horne, stopping him in just two rounds. A dream had been revitalized. Livingston fought again October of 2010 and again got a second round stoppage. But still, Livingston was without a promoter or a manager and finding fights was hard to do on his own.

That has all changed now that boxeo 360 has entered the picture. We are excited to announce we have signed DonYil who is as hungry, able and willing as any fighter we have seen in recent years. We look forward to helping him DonYil fulfill his dream that has been a long time coming.
